Walks and Tours

People often ask me whether I lead walks as well as writing books about walking. The answer is yes. I have lots of walk leading experience, a large repertoire of tried and tested walks, full public liability insurance and a reasonable attitude when it comes to fees.

Most of the walks I lead are for LEG – the London Explorers Group, an organisation I set up in 2004 and which I now run. Here is a short list of other organisations I have walked for recently:

As well as walks, I also provide commentaries for boat trips on the Thames. And I organise and lead day and overnight trips both in the UK and overseas. York & Castle Howard in northern England is a special favourite as it is my home territory. I am also a veteran of Bologna, Verona and other cities in northern Italy. In each case, my trips include walks created and researched by me using methods honed in London over the past two decades. I run these trips for LEG and also for various travel companies.
